Yordan Kamdzhalov was born on 16 October 1980 in Targovishte. He studied conducting at the AMM "Prof. Pancho Vladigerov "University of Sofia and the" Hans Eisler "Music Academy in Berlin. In 2011 he became the first foreigner to win the competition for General Music Director and Chief Conductor of the Opera Theater, the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Heidelberg Schloss Festival at the remarkable cultural center Heidelberg (Germany). His presence on the world music scene includes engagements in London, Zurich, Lucerne, Bonn, Berlin, Paris, Tuscany, Boston, New York, Hamburg, Helsinki, Basel, Singapore and Tokyo. There are many international awards and awards.
At the age of 29 he founded the Jordan Kamdjalov Foundation to support young Bulgarian artists - instrumentalists, singers, composers and conductors. From 2015 he successfully developed the choir project "Human Lab for Human" and the new conceptual international symphonic ensemble "Genesis Orchestra".
